What have you done today to get ready for the first day of school?

Is your packet done?

Do you have any questions?

The other day I asked questions about lines. These are a few more questions.

  • How do you know when lines are parallel?

  • How do you know when lines are perpendicular?

  • How do you write an equation of a line perpendicular to a point?

  • How do you write an equation of a perpendicular bisector to a segment?

PreCalc and Calc students

There is a term in mathematics called the "normal line". See if you can find out what it means.

Have a great day.

In Calc AB you will be spending a great deal of time finding slopes of lines in a new way.

Things about lines you should know:

  • slope formula

  • slope intercept form of a line

  • writing the equation of a line using 2 points

  • standard form of a line

  • point-slope form of a line

Have a nice day.

36 Days Until the First Day of School

Have you started your summer packet?

Have you even picked it up from the school website?

I know that the quality of the PreCalc Honors is not that great. If you can't read it you can email me and I can send you some originals.

How is your factoring coming? Do you remember how to factor the difference of two squares?

If you have take Alg 2 do you remember how to factor the sum or difference of two cubes?

Let's get busy.
